About our Courses

Scoliosis and Spinal Fusion CPD Courses. Helping you gain new skills and knowledge isn’t only a commitment, but also a passion of ours.  Caroline Freedman author of The Scoliosis Handbook together with Elizabeth Bord from Aspire at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital offer three ways to attain a unique, inspiring, insight into exercising safely with scoliosis. YMCA and CIMSPA endorsed.

What is Scoliosis?

Scoliosis is a curvature of the spine in an S shaped form.  It is a side to side curve of over ten degrees. It can affect any age from before birth (congenital), in young children (early onset), teenagers (adolescent idiopathic) where the scoliosis has developed through puberty / growth and onto adulthood. The curve can change dramatically around the ages of 10-20 years old.  Adolescent scoliosis comprises 80% of cases.

Physiotherapists, personal trainers, carers, scoliosis warriors and parents will gain the expertise of working with scoliosis clients safely and effectively.  The ability to train those clients to their maximum potential, increasing their knowledge of exercises for this particular condition.  Increased understanding of the anatomy and physiology of scoliosis and how it can impact on a person's quality of life.

Scoliosis warriors and parents will also  benefit from this course.

We offer three ways to complete the Scoliosis and Spinal Fusion CPD course: through ZOOM face to face one day courses, online study and face to face once we are all safe from COVID 19. You will receive two certificates: one from the YMCA and one from Scoliosis and Spinal Fusion CPD Courses endorsed by CIMSPA worth 8 CPD points.
